Born and raised in Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University (Go Lions!) for a degree in Applied Lingusitics and East European Studies. I also lived in Baltimore, Maryland for 18 years, spent a year in Kabul, Afghanistan, and am now living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I work internationally as a consultant in fiscal reform (tax administration development), which has allowed me to see many of these spectacular sights and take these photos.

Photography is for me a way to tell a story and to convey a feeling about a person, landscape or object. I am guided by the ideas of Edward Hopper of realism and reduction by not merely producing literal photographic copies of what I see, but an informative interpretation. These are high aspirations and I fail at them every day.
