We spent 7 weeks in the USA during April and May, the weather was perfect. After a fair bit of planning, the trip started in Las Vegas and then we hired a car and did a road trip, hitting the highlights of California and Nevada. Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Carmel, Santa Barbara and Santa Monica. Then we flew to Colorado and drove to Boulder, Breckenridge and Vail. We were lucky enough to be able to get an end of season ski in Tahoe and Breckenridge! We flew to Chicago for a week, then onto Washington DC, New York and Boston. It was an amazing holiday and we look forward to making plans for another visit to the USA! I hope this list gives you some good tips and inspires you to start planning.
