In April 2014, I road tripped from Indio to San Francisco, CA via Big Sur. This list of amazing discoveries by other Trovers was the only thing I used to plan the trip, and now I'm adding some of my favourite discoveries that I found along the way. What an amazing trip it was!

            @Julia - I actually just finished this trip -- left America on Sunday! I didn't get through everything on the list but it was definitely a phenomenal trip.

            Thanks @Julia! I hope you get to tackle it sooner rather than later because it really was an amazing trip. I'm so glad I finally got to do one of the many US roadtrips that I've had on my list for ages!

            Some of these photos look amazing! I'm in the midst of planning a very similar road trip- we're calling it 'California Dreamin' :-) We're starting in San Francisco and ending in San Diego. Can't wait to see many of these places in person.

            Hi @Kristin We are coming back to Coachella again this year (from Australia) we've done the drive from San Diego up to San Fran back in 2011. This time we were thinking after coachella driving up to Yosemite or maybe the napa valley & trying to stop a couple different places (last time we drove PCH1 this time we might go inland?) would love any tips - salvation mountain looks really unique!
