Hilary Hahn, the 31yo two-time Grammy Award-winning violinist, visits Seattle for one night only (Oct 17th). In addition to pieces by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, she'll also be playing selections from a series of short works she's commissioned herself. She'll be accompanied by Valentina Lisitsa on piano. One additional tidbit: Hahn plays an 1864 violin crafted by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, which he built as an exact replica of a 1743 violin played by Paganini and known as 'Il Cannone Guarnerius' (now on display in a museum in Genova, Italy).
