The Lund waterwheel was built just upstream from here and used until electricity came to Lund, BC, in the late 1950s. In the late 1970s it was moved and rebuilt in its current location. Fishermen used it as a fish-gutting station. In 2005, the community got together and sold engraved planks to raise funds for rebuilding both the boardwalk and the waterwheel. In 2007, it became an information booth. More improvements were made to the waterwheel in 2017 and now the wheel turns when there is sufficient water in the creek. (September 2019) #Trovember
