Exploring #Vicenza was a fantastic experience. One of my favourite and easily liveable towns I have visited. Quintessential Italian architecture and delicious gelato and patisseries alike, the town is small enough to wander through peacefully and there is a casual nightlife culture where you’ll find the finest (and cheapest) prosecco in the world! Places worth visiting (note seasonal variations): beach bar north of the basilica; the basilica and the bar on the top floor; a quick swim (necessary in 33 degree heat) at the Viest Hotel for €7 but reasonable bar prices and games; ‘Yuki’ for an excellent sushi experience of all you can eat for €21, and a stroll in the park (name escapes me) just north of the centre, where you’ll find rabbits, chickens and terrapins roaming freely; Monte-berry Hill for amazing views of the valley;
