Buzz, balloons and new friends at SXSW
We knew we'd meet great people at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival last week. We had no idea we'd bring together so many new friends -- and have such a blast doing it.
At our live graffiti parties and local walking tours, under our big orange balloons and on the Trover app itself, hundreds of locals and festival-goers connected to each other by connecting with the best of the world around them.
We weren't just at SXSW, after all. We were in wild Austin, Texas -- a place worth celebrating. And with so many people sharing their favorite hot spots, hidden gems and local quirks (see all the discoveries in Austin), trovers could easily see why.
The Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur Magazine were among the media that wrote up the buzz, and we loved to see the Austinist and the Austin American-Statesman spread the word close to home.
With Trover the places you love become part of a collective gallery of cool things people can discover all around the globe. Trovers Edgar Barguiarena, Grace Roulet, Peter Tsai and Kat Kotrla won us over with their prize-winning discoveries, and Austin artists Sloke One, Mez Data, Micca Toone and Kristopher Kotcher captured that creative spirit, spray by spray, in the awesome aerosol masterpieces they created that inspired people to unleash their own inner artists at our nightly graffiti parties.
See our daily roundups on Storify, and see our favorite moments from the week below, including a couple great Austin discoveries. Told you we had fun.
