Paul

Location: The Road (on a year long roadtrip in a vintage RV, though I call San Francisco home)

"Day Job": Technically, I don't have a job other than traveling, writing and photographing, but historically I have been a designer and magazine publisher.

What are you cooking up now? Editing millions of photos from Graceland and bourbon distillery tours for our website 50 States or Less

Why do you do what you do? My wife and I love traveling (though who doesn't?) so we decided to take a year off and just see the US at a slow pace. We loved taking road trips and thought that fixing up an old motorhome would be a great way to really get to know our country better.

Traveling inspires me because... traveling full time is awesome. Seeing the places that are a little off the beaten track in America just makes you realize how diverse and weird the US really is. It is easy to develop a perception of what America is about from the media and the news but once you start driving through and talking to people you get a completely different perspective on what we are all doing here.

Trover is... a great resource for not only the world traveler, but the backyard traveler. Most travel tools are totally focused on finding stuff for you to see while on vacation but completely miss the idea that travel can be everywhere, even in your own town. Trover allows you to make travel a state of mind and find amazing things no matter where or when you are.

Trover tip: running your photos through camera+ or hipstamatic first allows you to apply filters to make your images pop out.

My best discovery ever is: The Minister's Treehouse, a 100 ft tall 100 room treehouse that encompasses 7 trees and has a basketball court in it that was built because of a message from God.
